Auditions for the Camerata Strings, Symphony Orchestra and Wind Ensemble will take place on September 6th and 7th. Please email yhorch@csun.edu or download the Audition form located on our site.

In addition, the Philharmonic and Chamber Orchestra will audition for the final remaining spots on the same dates as listed above:

• Violins (4-6).
• Violas
• Cello (1-3)
• Basses (1-3)
• Flutes (1)
• Clarinets (1-2)
• Bassoons (4)
• Trombone (1)
• Percussion (3)

Requirements for Chamber Orchestra and Philharmonic:



• One solo, five minutes in length - you may play a concerto with or without an accompanist.
• You must know all 12 manjor scales, 2 will be asked
• You may choose a minor scale.
• You must prepare all excerpts. To download excerpts, please go to the Downloads menu and click on the audition excerpts link. Click on your instrument to download the file.
Please listen to recordings of the pieces from which your excerpts came.
